For Heidegger, Holderlin's work manifests a departure from metaphysics. A useful introduction to hermeneutics. The text itself stumbles by its blatantly secondary nature. What I mean to say is that one would gain a mich greater experience of understanding by reading some texts by Schleiermacher, Dilthey, Heidegger, and Gadamer.
